Spectacular CoBrA-works Appel and Alechinsky at Tefaf 2019
For the 31st time, Jaski Gallery was one of the exhibitors at The European Fine Art Fair (Tefaf), which this year was organized from Saturday March 16 until Sunday March 24. Like always, the MECC buildings in Maastricht were the home of Tefaf.
We showed a spectacular work (mixed media on paper, 1954) from Karel Appel, which was acquired by Willem Sandberg for the Peter Suyvesant Collection in 1964 (see image right). We also exhibited an important work from Pierre Alechinsky (oil on canvas, 1959), which was introduced during the Biennale Internazionale d’Arte di Venezia in 1960 (see image left).
